ATL

 

Why is the version of ATL mysteriously not mentioned anywhere in Visual Studio 2005 ?  The ATL versions information page in MSDN (as I recall) goes upto  VS 2003 with ATL at 7.1.    The reason I ask is that I've downloaded WTL 8.0 and need to know which version of ATL it goes with.  All that MS mentions is that this version of WTL (8.0) is for Visual Studio 2005 with Vista.  However no mention is made of the version of ATL in Visual Studio 2005 (Professional with SP1 for Vista).  Is there such a thing as ATL 8.0 and if so where does Microsoft post this information ?  Why suddenly drop ATL versioning information from MSDN (or perhaps include it so inaccessibly) that a lot of us out here are confused out of our wits ? .
